Lifx Desktop App Mac

To pin apps to the taskbar

Mac desktop app with manual control, scheduling and some security features. Create presets, assign your F keys, control your bulbs / groups / presets from a manual control window or your presets from the status bar. Also allows control via Applescript. Currently, all LIFX lights have a MAC address beginning with D073D5. The last six digits of the MAC address are broadcast, as part of the LIFX Wi-Fi network during setup. Now that you know the MAC address, you can assign a static IP on your network for each bulb.

  • Press and hold (or right-click) an app, and then select More > Pin to taskbar.

  • If the app is already open on the desktop, press and hold (or right click) the app's taskbar button, and then select Pin to taskbar.

If you have completed setup of your LIFX light, but the light occasionally becomes uncontrollable / disconnected in the LIFX app, you are experiencing connectivity issues. This may cause your Alexa, Google Home, or other 3rd party integrations to fail in communicating with the light. If you have several LIFX lights, but only one is having this. Lifx is the second-largest manufacturer of smart lights in the world. The company is bringing two new lights to the market in October of this year that will further enhance its lineup.

A simple LIFX Desktop (Windows, Linux and Mac) app that uses appJar for the GUI and lifxlan for the underlying driver. Pre-Compiled Binaries. If you just want to run this app and not faff around with git and python, then go straight to the releases page and download the pre-compiled Mac or Windows binaries. Installation Instructions.

Note: To remove a pinned app from the taskbar, open the app's Jump List, and then select Unpin from taskbar.

Notes:

  • To delete a shortcut from your desktop, press and hold (or right-click) it, then select Delete.
