Pushbullet says the Mac app is now freely available in the Mac App Store, and of course, iPads can find the software in the App Store for iOS. Now that OS X, Safari and iPad support is here, the Pushbullet covers just about every major platform and devic,e with apps and extensions for Windows (currently in beta), Android — where it has seen.

I get all my Android notifications on the desktop. Nowadays, smartphones are a lifesaver. It’s true that we keep our Android handhelds always within our reach. Every light has its dark side. Often, I get nagged hearing a train of notification alerts from my Android and it becomes an acute one when I am quite busy with my PC. I am not saying that every notification needs your attention at that very moment, but there may have some which really need to be taken care of, such as an important phone call from your workplace or a crucial appointment. Don’t bother eyeing your handheld’s screen. You can easily get Android notifications on the desktop. It’s a simple workaround.

To ensure that our iOS app gets all of the latest features, we’ve made some changes to how we build our apps and decided that a new fundation is the best place for the Pushbullet iOS app to grow from. This is today’s update. Today’s update brings a brand new Pushbullet app to iPhone and iPad.
Pushbullet is an extension and app, available for Android, iOS, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Windows.Pushbullet connects your phone with your PC. Which means whenever you got text messages then your don’t need to pick your cell phone up, unlock the password, read the message, type with your tiny touch-screen keyboard, you just have to do is simply get the Pushbullet app or extension.
Pushbullet allows you to share snippets of information between supported devices that are running the Pushbullet client. The client app is available as an iOS app, an Android app, a Windows app, an OS X app and a web browser extension. Once you install the apps, you need to login using a Google or Facebook account before you can use Pushbullet.

A small app namedPushbullet will help you in this no-win situation. It’s really easy to locate and install thePushbullet app from Google Play Store. After the installation, you need to Sign up with your Google account to process further with it.

On whichever handhelds you install Pushbullet, make sure you sign in with the same Google account of yours from each one to get an android notification on the desktop from each of them.

On the settings page, you can easily find the option to mirror your notification, enable it to get all of your Handhelds notification on your PC. If you have finished with your handhelds then the next step is to installPushbullet from Chrome web store as an extension in your PC.

After getting your Pushbullet icon on Chrome top bar, you must click it to Sign in with the same Google account as in your other devices. And give all the necessary permission to get an android notification on the desktop.

Now if you have completed installation and set up, it’s time to know the functionality.

Get Android Notification on Desktop

You can see, all of your devices where Pushbullet is installed as a list in your Pushbullet account. Whenever a pop-up will appear in any of your Handhelds, you will get it on your PC screen. It may be an incoming call or a missed call or any updates for your apps.

You can disable or dismiss each one of the notifications separately from your PC. Ones you choose the disable option for a notification, you will not get any further notification from the same app.

If you choose to disable a Facebook notification from your PC, all those notifications from your Facebook account will simply be disabled for your PC. And when you choose the dismiss option, the notification will be gone from PC and your Handhelds at the same time and vice versa.

Some extra facilities

If you think Pushbullet is all about getting mirror notification, then you are wrong. Pushbullet offers you some extra utility also. You can transfer note, link, address, list, picture, and even a file (up to size 25 MB) between the handhelds and PC.

To transfer files from PC you need to click on the extension icon and key in that device’s name where you want your file to be transferred. To do the same from your handhelds you need to tap on the green Pushbullet icon on the top right corner of your Pushbullet interface and select the type of file to transfer as well as the device name and send/push it.

Moreover, you can also add any number of friends by their mail id and exchange files between them.

Settings for better performance

There are some settings you may need to know for a better performance. You can always get to your settings screen by right-clicking on the Chrome Pushbullet icon and choosing ‘option’ or simply clicking on that same icon and choose ‘Options’ from the top three options.

From this screen, you can enable or disable notification by coming to your PC by hitting the Snooze notification icon at the top of the screen. You can make sure Pushbullet works properly after closing the Chrome or you heard a sound every time a notification pops up to your PC screen.

There are lots of options for you to explore between General, Notifications, and the Advanced tab. All the options are well described for you to easily understand.

One last thing needs to mention here, this feature required a device running with Android 4.1 or higher version. And you will get your Android notification on any PC that is running Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, or Chrome OS.

If you’re using an Android phone, life without Pushbullet is meaningless. The Android app can do so much. With the Chrome extension you can view notifications, reply to SMSs, share the clipboard history between two devices, and a lot more.

The only problem is that Pushbullet doesn’t love the Apple-verse nearly as much as Windows and Android. Their product page lists a Safari extension and a Mac app as “coming soon”. But that place holder has been there for months. Maybe it’s time to face the facts. The developers at Pushbullet are busy building awesome things and Chrome is such a viable medium for them that they don’t want to focus their energy on other things.

That sucks for the rest of us, the people who own a Mac and for some reason (battery life, stability, privacy) choose Safari over Chrome.

But thanks to third party developers, that gap is a little bit easier to breach. Today we’ll talk about a really simple third party extension for Safari and a fully featured third party Pushbullet app for Mac.

Pushbullet for Safari

The Pushbullet extension for Safari is basic compared to the Chrome one. You can’t view notifications, reply to SMS, or even send files.

/can-you-make-whats-app-calls-on-mac.html. All you can do is send links and notes. That’s it. Oh, and you’ll need to authenticate the extension using an API key available in the Account section on the Pushbullet website.

PushPal for Mac

Now this is what it’s all about. PushPal is a decked out unofficial Mac client for Pushbullet. If Pushbullet made their own Mac app, this is probably what it would look like. All those native features come at a price though: $2.99 on the Mac App Store.

But for the small price, you get a sleek looking app listing all the pushes you ever sent on all your devices. You can view the pushes, resend them, and more.

An easy way to send links, files, notes, etc from Mac to any Pushbullet connected device – Windows, iPhone, or Android.

After you’ve turned on Notification Mirroring in the Android app you’ll see notifications on the Mac. /startpage-app-for-mac.html. Dismissing notifications here will do so on the app.

PushPal will let you reply to SMS as well.

Recently: I crowned Pushbullet as the easiest way to sync clipboards between Windows and Android. With PushPal you can have that same feature between Mac and Android as well (no word on the iPhone update).

How PushPal Can Be Better

If you’re a heavy Pushbullet user, PushPal is totally worth the $3 investment. But I do think it can be better, especially with how it handles sending files. Developers, I hope you’re reading this.

PushPal has a menu bar utility but it’s not really useful. It should give a dropdown of the most recent pushes. Alternatively, dragging a file to the menu bar should give you an option to select the device you want to push it to. No need to launch the app for it. Some kind of global shortcut to send the web page you’re on to a device would also be appreciated.
