Box App Mac Installation Cant Install
Aperture is giving me a headache, since it crashes (more or less predictibly) quite frequently or causes a kernel panic.
In order to figure out what's wrong, I decided to do a clean reinstall of the operating system and all applications.
So, I cloned my hard disk via SuperDuper, took my original 'Mac Pro Installation DVD 1', rebooted the system from that DVD, re-formatted the hard disk, and started the installation.
After a while, I was asked to insert 'Mac Pro Installation DVD 2', but I couldn't find it (physically) in my office. Aaaarrgh! And I just tidied up, and I thought I knew where all the stuff would be located.
Ok, so I thought that I could take my original Tiger Installation CD/DVD (don't remember), and use that to re-install the operating system.
But unfortunately, I don't know how to cancel the current installation process. I tried to switch off the computer, and switched it on again, but the installation just wants to continue there where it stopped before the switch-off. In general, I appreciate such a behaviour, but not when I try to get out of the loop 😟
I tried pressing the 'Alt' key in order to select a different boot medium, but that didn't work either.
Does someone have an idea how to tackle that problem?
Any other comments on the procedure described above?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
Stephan

Those who only install apps from the Mac App Store should not bother changing the default settings. Make sure to select the first option labelled Mac App Store and close the box. If you want to install and run any app you want and don’t worry at all about malware, then choose the third option labelled Anywhere. I would save the installer app to an external drive, and use one of the methods to create a fresh bootable installer from that app. Finally, delete the downloaded installer from your boot drive. Access all your Box files directly from your desktop, without taking up much hard drive space. Box Drive is natively integrated into Mac Finder and Windows Explorer, making it easy to share and collaborate on files. Download Box Drive for Mac Download Box Drive for Windows (64 bit) Download Box Drive for Windows (32 bit). And after you install mac os high sierra in virtualbox, you can upgrade your mac os to mojave. Install Mac OS On VirtualBox Virtual Machine Steps. 2.1 Create MacOS Virtual Machine In Virtualbox. Open virtualbox, click New button to create a new virtual machine. Input macOS high sierra or macOS mojave in the Name field, select Mac OS X in. On a Mac that is compatible with El Capitan, open the disk image and run the installer within, named InstallMacOSX.pkg. It installs an app named Install OS X El Capitan into your Applications folder. You will create the bootable installer from this app, not from the disk image or.pkg installer. Use the 'createinstallmedia' command in Terminal. Now you will see the apps that have been downloaded to the player and you will need to install the app by tapping on the icon to the right. Next, select 'INSTALL' to initiate the install process. Once the install is complete you are ready to start streaming! To install other APPs on the player, repeat the steps above for each service.

Getting hold of an ISO is actually more difficult than you might expect. If you have access to a Mac, you won’t be able to download a copy of the OS you already have installed. If the Mac is running macOS Mojave, open the macOS High Sierra page in the App Store and download the installer from there.
